Irène Gautreau of Domaine de la Vallée, Memramcook (formerly of Gautreau Village) passed away on November 19, 2009 at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital at the age of 88.
 Born on January 8, 1921 in Gautreau Village, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe Melanson and the late Emma Belliveau. She worked in housekeeping at the Institut de Memramcook until her retirement. She was a member of Golden Age Club of Pré-d'en-Haut.
She is survived by her daughter Denise (Gérald Belliveau) LeBlanc of Gautreau Village, one brother Yvon (late Bernice) Melanson of St-Joseph, five grand- children Janice (Terry), Chantal (Gilles), Sonia, Jolyne (Michel) and Marc (Cindy), eight great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alyre, three sisters Eva, Lorette and Exilia and four brothers Eugène, Alyre, Fred and Gérald.
Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home with theFuneral Mass to be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut on Saturday November 21 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
